So today marks Jax turning 8 weeks... don't get out the party hats yet. This mommy has finally noticed some weight and size change in that lil guy. He is still wearing all of his newborn clothes (I got my monies worth outta those :) ) Aydann has been lil mother hen to him, getting diapers and telling me that "baby brother puked" The potty training is still working out some serious kinks, but she still makes me proud. This last weekend she showed off her ABC ability's to her meema and papa Whittaker. She can offically identify everyone of the letters and even gives an example. My favorite is when she says "Q" for queen" Cracks me up, because you can see her face light up when she does it. Like she has invented something miraculous.
Lil update on Justin's gma, she is still in the ICU, but able to sit up by herself now. I think she will heal better and faster now that her hospital room isn't full of drama and tons of people. I am still praying for her everyday, I know that she has a long hard road ahead of her. I hate to say it but she is my favorite, the first words out of her mouth when she saw me in the hospital where " ah, there's the battle ax" We have a unique reletionship. No holds bar for us. She's crazy but a very caring and special person.
The last 8 weeks have flew by, they have been busy. Some things worrisome others fullfilling. I have learned new things about myself and my family. I am slowly overcombing my "un" ability to say No to people, and I am getting rid of this people pleaser problem I have. It's caused some arguments and some serious anxiety. But I'm getting there. Nothing a little bit of paper, some paint and a Corona can't fix, right.
