Pumpkins!

We went out to Banner Ranch on Wed to the punkin patch. I got some pic's not as many as last year. My batteries were dying. Go figure. Aydann wasn't feeling good but had fun, Jax loves watching everything around him so he was a happy camper. Aydann and I made carmel apples when we got home. She loved it. So did Daddy who helped himself to carry a snack to the basement when they were all done. We went to my in laws later that night to do our annual spaghetti and pumpkin carving. Jax was pretty into being in the middle of everything literaly. I have lots of pics and will put up a slide show later. But for now here is just a few. My eye's are going to sleep on their own as I sit here and type. Aydann has been having nightmares and sleepwalking so I am beyond exhausted.
We got the big pumkin for Aydann because she said she didn't want a little one. Until we got home then she wanted the 'baby'. Lil stinker, such a woman. Can't make up her mind. She wasn't so into scooping out all the guts this year. Not like last year when she was elbow deep in it.

Jax's first Halloween punkin. He thought it was pretty neat. I actually have some fun pic's of him in it. :) I love his smile in this picture, so precious. You can tell he has a camera in his face alot. "Just pose and smile and it will be over shortly" :)

Day full of....

Today I went on a lil scrapbook retreat with some of the girls. I was only able to stay for the day. Justin is on graveyard tonight and my in laws were having a halloween party. So it was come home or make the kiddo's fend for themselves. Someone had to feed them. :) The drive to Ferdiand was amazing, it was misty and had just stopped raining but the colors on all the tree's, my music cranked up, and some yummy coffee made the trip rejuvenating almost. When I got to Eloise's the girls were already cropping away. It was nice to get away from my husband and kids and just be with some friends. I posted up a few layout's I was in awe of how much I actually got done in a short amount of time. (Guess it's cuz I have alot of "white space" ;) :) ) I wish I could have stayed longer, but you know... someone has to be in charge around here.
This layout was fun... not only did the thought of Ketchup make Chell want to gag, but I was able to whip it out pretty fast. I really like the finished product. I haven't journaled on it yet, haven't decided how I want to do it yet, but we were in Arby's with my parents and my lil punkin thinks ketchup is it's own vegetable.

This layout went by quickly, I did two pretty much the exact same. I flipped the other L.O so the pic was on the opposite side. One for each kid. I now know why mommies with twins do their albums the same. Goes by much faster. Much less thinking involved.

Ok, I really LOVE the way this came out. I am in love with the cranberry red's and BLING. And of course the chipboard. Wouldn't be an album by Amanda if it wasn't full of CHIPBOARD.. And Bling circles.. Everywhere, but especially on the picture. I did 4 or 5 layouts today that all had some 'framing' on the pic. Love it...

Amazing Strength...

Saturday while I was waiting for something I was browsing through my Memory Makers magazine that came in the mail last week. I saw an awesome layout that caught my eye. It fit my "style" of scrapping. Well I really looked at the couple in the picture they stood out to me as very beautiful and "peaceful" looking. Well the woman is holding a small baby in her arms. I asked Chell what she thought about this layout and the story behind it. It didn't have journaling that would tell a stranger the "entire story". But the title was "HE will carry you" and it spoke of an empty cradle, I was confused because of the expressions the parents had. So I read in the details of the products used and who made the page and it told me that I could go to this particular blog to read the story. So when I got home on Sun, I jumped onto my computer and started searching, duh didn't take to long. Well this blog is amazing, it's a story about a christian family who learned that their baby girl was very sick at their 20 week ultrasound. She wouldn't live long after birth. Well for some reason I became completely involved in reading all about this family and the strength this woman has. Audrey (the baby) only survived for 2 1/2 hours and you can see in her mothers face peace. It took my breath away and made me cry all at the same time. She was born 4 days after my Jax. I could never have the strength myself to overcome that kind of a situation. Some of her words were very inspiring. When I was done reading I stopped and said a prayer of thanks for those around me that are blessed. I know I am. Anyway the blog is on my side bar, it's called Bring the Rain.

Long Sad Weekend.....

We all just got home from what felt like a very long 2 days. Last week Justin's Grandad passed away, just shy from his 94th birthday. Today was the funeral. I went with Justin and the kids to Grangeville yesterday and while Justin went to the service with his mom and cousin I stayed with the kids. We then met them for dinner afterwards. Justin left his Grandad some scotch, that was something "special" with him and all the grandson's. I was never able to get a picture with Grandad and Aydann, she was always nervous around him. Jax got a pic back in August when we went to the nursing home to visit. It's not the best picture, but it ment alot to Justin. So I hope that Jax will appreciate it when he is older.

Little Weeds.. keep growing so fast.

Miss Aydann. Turning into such a smart little girl. Potty Training is coming to an end. She is running to do it all herself and waking up dry in the morning. I'm very proud of her and have been trying to think of something rewarding that she will understand. She has been on a kick about "going to school" I can't believe that she is old enough to even say that. She has been playing dress up ALOT lately, I think she is getting herself psych'd for Halloween. :) We endured WalMart dressed as a pumpkin. (that is not her halloween costume) People of course stared and were probably wondering if I even pay attention to my children.

My lil man Jax, he is 6months old already. Sitting up, eatting a few new foods. Not many since he seems to have a sensitive tummy. Every vegtable we've tried makes him sick. :( I can tell that he is gaining weight steadily just by his clothing. Last week he wore a pair of shorts that fell right off him. Today they stayed up. He has proved to be my blankie baby, no matter where we are if it's time to sleep I better get his blanket and fast. He isn't particular to any specific one, he just needs a blanket. One that he can pull over his head. Ah, scares the crap outta me.

I Love both of these pictures very much. I can't wait to scrapbook them. Tomarrow my husband is leaving to go "scouting" with his dad. So I guess it marks my begining of being a single mom until hunting season is over. I swear there needs to be support groups for us wifes/mom's that have to pull alittle extra weight for all these "weekend" outting's that in most probability are just a vacation for our men. Not are we not only doing everything that we usually do but we have to pack all of their "crap" so they can eat, sleep, and not freeze to death out there. And then there is the almighty gas bill. Gotta love that. So the kids and I are going to help decorate for Halloween at Dan and Joanie's, and then maybe plan something else fun until Justin and Wayne return to civilization.
