Reward: Missing heart that jumped from my chest!!!
Today started out so early... but it was good, Justin made me coffee then went to the gym real early. I stayed at home planning our Fri. Chell texted me and asked if we wanted to lunch date with our kiddo's at McDonalds. Of course we would go, Ayd loves any chance to play with her cousins. So we got there a few minutes before Michelle and the girls, I let Ayd go and play while I ordered lunch and got situated. After all three girls sat down together to eat, Aydann inhaled her usual MckyD's lunch (ckn nuggets, apples and white milk, ketchup with her nuggets of course) Off she went to play after eatting everything but a few apples. The girls played hard for quiet awhile, when it was time to go I went over to the slide to get my daughter. I noticed her little cheeks were super flushed and her entire face was bright red. I knew she played hard, but didn't see why she looked so hot compared to the other kids who were wearing long sleeves. I naturally felt her face, which was very warm. Chell agreed that she was red and warm, but we chalked it up to her running and playing. We loaded up in the car and drove the 4 or 5 blocks home. By the time I got into the driveway to pick up Justin, Aydann had become very whiney and when I turned around to look at her I noticed her cheeks were red as ever and VERY SWOLLEN. I became concerned why my baby looked like a sudden chipmunk and asked her dad, he took one look at her hands and fingers and said we are going to the doctor RIGHT NOW. He tiny lil hands were swollen huge that if they were my fingers my wedding ring would have had to been cut off. Instantly I became worried and panic'd. I told Justin to call Chell and see what she thought we should do, of course she said what I had first thought. Call the doctor and talk to the nurse. Well of course the receptionist put me on HOLD FOREVER, I hung up and called my dearest friend who said forget calling, go straight there. They gave Aydann benedryl within minutes. She was still flushed and had developed a 'rash' on the backs of her hands. She was still breathing and talking normal. Doc pretty much said that it could have been a sudden allergic reaction to something she has had a million times and it could have been a combo of many different things. I was relieved after seeing him. We have to keep an eye out for this to ever happen again and if she get's puffy and swollen like that again she needs the benedryl right away and we are suppose to take her in. Talk about being scared to death. I seriously had to pick my heart out of my throat by the time we left the doctor.
